Gathering Music, Band

Time Of Singing

This Little Light Of Mine

This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine.
Let it shine let it shine let it shine.

Hide it under a bushel no! I’m gonna let it shine…

Everywhere I go, I’m gonna let it shine…

Shine, Jesus Shine

Chorus
Shine, Jesus, shine
Fill this land with the Father's glory;
Blaze, Spirit, blaze
Set our hearts on fire.
Flow, river, flow
Flood the nations with grace and mercy;
Send forth Your Word
Lord, and let there be light.

Lord, the light of Your love is shining
In the midst of the darkness shining;
Jesus, Light of the World, shine upon us;
Set us free by the truth You now bring us
Shine on me, shine on me.

Lord, I come to Your awesome presence
From the shadows into Your radiance;
By the blood I may enter Your brightness
Search me, try me, consume all my darkness
Shine on me, shine on me.

Open Our Eyes

Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus,
To reach out and touch Him,
And say that we love Him.
Open our ears, Lord, and help us to listen,
Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus.

Open our hearts, Lord, that we might receive You,
Open our spirits, and teach us to worship.
Open our lips, Lord, and teach us to praise You,
Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus.

Call To Worship

One: Father of all, you have created the universe, the heavens, the earth and all living creatures.
Many: Be present today in this service.
One: Lord Jesus, you called disciples to follow you and you continue to call young people to be your disciples.
Many: Help us to hear your voice.
One: Holy Spirit, you are always present, giving new life and forgiveness.
Many: Be with us as we worship and celebrate today. Amen.

Hymn of Praise
Jesus, the Light of the World

Prayer of Confession

One: Our heavenly Father, you have created us in your image;
Many: your Spirit gives us life and sustains us day to day.
One: In your love you would make us perfect.
Many: We humbly confess that we have not loved you with all our heart, soul, mind and strength,
One: and that we have not loved one another as Christ has loved us.
Many: Your life is within our souls,
One: but our selfishness has hindered you,
Many: we have not lived by faith.
One: We have resisted your Spirit.
Many: We have neglected your inspiration.
One: Forgive what we have been;
Many: help us to amend what we are;
One: and in your Spirit direct what we shall be; This saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. If anyone sins, Jesus is our advocate with the Father; and he is the compensation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. Hear and believe. Your sins have been forgiven. You are a new creation in Jesus Christ!

Centering Prayer
O Lord our God, we are filled with awe. Even the heavens declare your glory. You are the mighty one, God the Lord, who speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. Your world, with all its splendor, provides us sustenance and joy. Your unending love provides us with hope and comfort. We are blessed to be in your presence. Amen.
