Everyone is a Minister of the Gospel
In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your acts of kindness, and give glory to your God. Matthew 5:16

Statement Of Call:
We are called by God to be a radically inclusive, caring community of faith – offering personal and social transformation through Jesus Christ.

The two candles that grace the front of our altar remind us that the power of God is working within the peoples of Israel and Palestine to bring about lasting peace. There is hope!

Spirit of Hope Values

  1. Jesus is Lord!
  2. Touching the lives of the disconnected and the unconnected, the irreligious and the broken with the Good News of the gospel and inviting and training them in ministry will be the highest priority of our ministry.
  3. We will affirm and welcome every person into our ministry regardless of age, race, creed, color, gender or sexual orientation.
  4. We will work with every person to identify their God-given gifts, equip them for ministry, and help them to discover the ministry to which God is calling.
  5. Our Theology- the way we talk about God - will be grounded in Scripture, informed by church tradition, guided by human reason, and confirmed in our human experience.
  6. We will challenge as evil any action that is not life giving and soul sustaining.
  7. We will strive for excellence in all that we do as a way of glorifying God, always acknowledging that our striving for excellence is wrapped in grace.

Our Statement of Faith

  • We believe in a loving, creating God who was, is, and ever will be caring, forgiving and re-creating.
  • We believe that every human being is created in the image of God as a unique and special combination of gifts and talents and is invested by God with intrinsic worth and value.
  • We believe that God has entrusted the whole of creation into our loving care and that we are responsible and accountable to God and to one another for the stewardship of this trust.
  • We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God, fully human and fully divine, born to teach us how to live, and died to demonstrate the depth of God’s love for us.
  • We believe that with God all things are possible.
  • We believe the church is the community of faith gathered in anticipation of encountering the risen Christ. It is both universal and inclusive. It has been given responsibility for the transformation of the world through faithful proclamation of God’s truth in word and deed.
